Event-Driven Promotions

What are Event-Driven Promotions

Event-Driven promotion in the Kognitiv Inspire application is a dynamic feature that allows businesses to trigger and customize promotions based on specific events or actions within their loyalty program. Unlike traditional, static promotions, event-driven promotions are responsive and adapt to real-time customer behaviors or system events.

For example, the company might create a promotion that offers double points for purchases made on weekends. When a customer makes a purchase on a Saturday or Sunday, the system detects this event and automatically applies the double points promotion to the transaction. This incentivizes customers to shop on weekends, potentially increasing sales during typically slower periods.

Another example could be a promotion triggered by a customer's birthday. The loyalty software would recognize the customer's birthday based on the information provided during signup and automatically send them a special offer or discount code to use during their birthday month, encouraging them to make a purchase.

In both cases, the promotions are triggered by specific events (weekend purchases or birthdays) and automatically applied by Kognitiv Inspire according the specifics define by the client, providing personalized incentives to customers and driving engagement with the loyalty program.

Recognition tab

The Kognitiv Inspire application facilitates the creation of two main types of Event-Driven Promotions based on the criteria for capturing transaction information:

  • Reward Issued Event-Driven Promotions
  • Member Interactions Event-Driven Promotions
The specific type of event-driven promotion can be chosen within the Recognition tab. It's noteworthy that, excluding the Recognition and Schedule tabs, all other tabs remain consistent for both types of Event-Driven Promotions.

Select the relevant event type from the "Event Type" dropdown menu. You can select either "Reward Issued" or "Member Interactions" as the Event Type.

The Event Type serves as the criterion for identifying the information emphasized in a promotion. Users can choose from two distinct event types:

Reward Issued:These promotions are structured to confer fixed-point rewards.

Member Interaction:This category of promotions recognizes specific member interactions, including registration, purchases, location admission, and more. It is structured to confer fixed or percentage points.
