System Location: Tools / Import / Location Translation
Location translations are used to facilitate location interpretations within file imports and web services. In file import specifications where multiple location types may be encountered in a single file, this identifier is expected in a predetermined data column and is used to determine which location type that a location should be associated with upon importing the locational data. These identifiers are configured on a per-import source basis.
Managing Location Translations
Location translations are required for some file types and they require management for initial setup or addition of location code translations. Within the aforementioned system location, new location translations can be added by clicking the "Add" link at the top of the page. Furthermore, existing translations can be removed, or deleted, by clicking the appropriate "Edit" link within the main grid.
If a new location must be created, this must be done first.
