Twitter Integration

System LocationWeb / Social / Twitter

Kognitiv Loyalty supports integration with Twitter.  The included functionality will allow users to post Twitter messages (tweets) from the application, as well as monitor Twitter mentions and issue interactions to members for their mentions.  Furthermore, multiple Twitter accounts are supported.

Before using the built-in Twitter functionality, the account(s) must be setup via the Twitter web site.

Twitter Account Management

System Location: Web / Social / Twitter / Twitter Account Settings

Twitter accounts are managed on the aforementioned page within Kognitiv Loyalty.  To edit an existing account, click the "Edit" link next to the associated account.

Adding a Twitter Account

To add a Twitter account, start by clicking "Add Twitter Account" at the top of the page.  Enter the screen name and specify whether or not a mention will issue an interaction to participating loyalty members.  The associated business unit and location will be the origination point of the interaction.  When completed, click the "Save" link.

Verifying a Twitter Account

After initially adding a twitter account, a "Verify" link will be present within the grid.  Clicking this link will present a new browser window directed to Twitter for authentication purposes.  Upon successfully fulfilling the authentication, the user will return to Kognitiv Loyalty, and the "Verify" link will no longer be present within the page grid.

Posting Twitter Messages

System Location: Web / Social / Twitter / Twitter Messages

To post a twitter message, select the appropriate Twitter user in the dropdown above the grid and click the "Post Twitter Message" link at the top of the page.  The message page will be displayed, prompting you for the message content.  Click the "Tweet" button to post the message to Twitter.

Viewing Twitter Mentions

System Location: Web / Social / Twitter / Twitter Mentions

The aforementioned page will provide details on mentions by users from Twitter.  Upon viewing the page, only mentions for the user selected in the dropdown will be displayed.

If a link is found between the mentioning Twitter account and a loyalty member's Twitter account name, a shortcut link to Clienteling Services will be provided in the grid.
