System Location: Admin / Transaction (also Calendar)
A transaction point formula defines how points are computed for transactions. Using transaction point formulas, points can be computed based on retail value amount, or can be entered directly by using the direct point entry type. Transaction point formulas are configured on a per-transaction type basis.
Transaction types have master transaction point formulas, amongst other master options, that are propagated down to locations upon creating a location and/or transaction type. Future changes to these transaction point formulas must be made to the appropriate transaction default pages within the Calendar menu. Day-based transaction types, Event-based transaction types, and parimutuel-based transaction types can also be altered on a daily basis using the appropriate transaction calender pages within the Calendar menu.
