In some detailed contexts, earned points may be categorized:
- Base - Points earned without consideration of any transactional promotions.
- Bonus - Points earned as a result of transactional promotions.
- Total - The sum of base and bonus points earned.
Net points earned subtracts points deducted from the points earned.
