A parimutuel device type in Kognitiv Loyalty most commonly represents a wagering device terminal type, such as a "Vertical Self Service" or "Teller".
Before associating the device type code with a device type in Kognitiv Loyalty, the parimutuel device type must first be created using the aforementioned page.
Managing a Parimutuel Device Type
To create a new parimutuel device type, click the "Add Parimutuel Device Type" link at the top of the aforementioned page. Alternately, to edit an existing or delete an unused existing device type, click the "Edit" link within the grid for the associated device type.
Upon creation of a new device type, formulas for the parimutuel location defaults from the parimutuel track are inherited, and the issue rule is inherited from the "parimutuel wager" transaction type.
Managing a Parimutuel Device Type Binding

When a new device type is created, or when an existing device type code is changed, the binding between the code and device type must be altered.
