An internal member Id is a numerical identifier for a member account that is automatically assigned by the loyalty database. This identifier is set upon member account creation and cannot be changed. In select functions, a member account can be referred to by its internal member Id, and this may be preferred as it can never change. However, if a member account is ever combined with another, only one internal member Id will be kept.
