Transaction Calendar

System LocationCalendar / Transaction Calendars

A transaction calendar allows for day-to-day advance changes of point formulas, profit formulas, and issue rules for transaction types that are configured for "location/day pair" control and also for parimutuel wagers.  Each location and parimutuel track (parimutuel only) has its own individual calendar and must be changed on a per-day, per-location, and per-track basis.

More permanent changes are done on the appropriate Transaction Default pages, and it is recommended to make those changes on the "master level" within the transaction type and/or parimutuel track.

There is a transaction calendar page for non-parimutuel transactions and also a page for parimutuel-specific transactions.  Each calendar works in a similar fashion.

Calendar Management

As previously stated, each location/track combination has it's own calendar and standard transaction types use a different calendar than parimutuel wagers.

Navigate to the Appropriate Calendar Page

For parimutuel transactions, click the "Parimutuel Calendar" link.  For non-parimutuel transactions, click the "Daily Calendar" link.

Locate the Item Calendar Day(s)

First, configure the appropriate parameters above the calendar grid.  Then, if necessary, use the on-screen controls at the top of the calendar control to change the displayed dates.

Once the appropriate date is found, click the date.  This will load that date's management page.

Configuring the Item's Calendar Day

Each applicable transaction type and/or parimutuel device type has it's own settings for the calendar combination in question.  The changes made will only affect transactions that are generated within the system after the changes are made.

The "Formula Status" column will read "Default" if the default settings have been inherited to populate this item's calendar day unless the master transaction type has been altered (uncommon).  If some items read "Override" than the default settings were originally inherited, but the particular combination of settings has been used by a generated transaction.  If all items read "Override" than either the prior statement is true for all combinations, or this page has been previously saved.
